About me

I’m a priest in the Church of England, originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Before ordination I worked in teaching and in marketing. As a priest I’ve served in the dioceses of Newcastle, Durham, Birmingham and Carlisle.

I’m a Practical Theologian and I have conducted research on the theology of mothering, christenings and neurodiversity. I’m interested in the intersection of theology and psychology particularly around issues of neurodiversity and the Church.

I studied at Durham University, receiving a doctorate in 2016 for a thesis entitled: Meaning-Making for Mothers in the North East of England: an Ethnography of Baptism

I’m an experienced teacher and trainer, having worked to deliver training to lay-minsters, curates, ordinands, and church communities.

I have worked in theological education since 2010: for Lindisfarne rtp, Cumbria Christian Learning, Carlisle Diocese and The Queen’s Foundation.
